Mosaic House Ministries

A discipleship community on God’s mission together

We are a group of women, men, and children—from all walks of life and from all backgrounds—united around the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Mosaic formed in relationship between a seminary, churches, and a discipleship house community, with the resulting emphases on developing leaders, strengthening churches, and transforming communities. Healthy leaders cultivate healthy churches which lead to healthy communities. From the beginning in 2008, the work unfolded prayerfully and relationally, loving God and loving people. New structures have emerged, but the essential DNA has remained the same.

We create space where people can gather to experience God through biblical teaching, fellowship, eating together, and prayer (Acts 2:42), and then go from that place to serve our community in meaningful and tangible ways. Together, we are a discipleship community on God’s mission together.

Faith Foundations

Acts 2:42: Our values flow from this verse: discipleship, fellowship, hospitality, and prayer. This structure of community facilitates growth in Christ and His church.

John 17:23: Unity influences mission. The pursuit of unity influences discipleship. The unity God created in Christ is a powerful witness to our divided world. We need each other. Ultimately, God has called us to co-shepherd the community together.

2 Corinthians 5:18: The theological framework of reconciliation (with God, others, self, and creation) guides our practice and telos. The heart of God moves us toward a world that needs Him. We want to be known by what we are for (not for what we are against). We are for Jesus and for the community. As we seek revival, may God be glorified in it all.

Why Mosaic

Mosaics are beautiful artistic creations. They are composed of diverse pieces of all shapes, colors, and sizes to create a big picture. Each piece contributes to the whole in its own unique way, and no one piece is more valuable than another. What makes a mosaic beautiful are the varied and unique contributions of each piece toward a bigger picture.

In Mosaic House Ministries, we embrace this imagery as a picture of God’s Church. Diverse in background, but united in purpose, we desire to glorify God and do His work. We deeply value listening to one another and truly seeing one another. Therefore, we welcome one another as Christ has welcomed us, so that together we may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Together, we’re better.

About Our Name

Mosaic (identity): We are each broken, beautiful, and unique. In the hands of the Master Artist, we become something even more beautiful together. Be authentically you, become the “new we”.

House (belonging): We are God’s house, a dwelling for His Spirit, and we create space for others to come home in Christ. We learn the way of Christ together, welcoming others as He welcomed us. Listen to understand; speak to serve.

Ministries (purpose): We commend ourselves in every way to the service of our Lord. Doing only flows out of being. Our salvation is not for us, it is to us. It is for someone else.  To begin each day, we honor the presence of Christ and seek His will together.
